True Blood: Will Eric Break Up Sookie and Bill?

Published by naturalbbevents under True Blood Edit This

Kristin from E!Online has some tid-bits for us from some of the True Blood folks…

So will Eric break up Sookie and Bill? Stephen Moyer tells me, “I couldn’t possibly say. I honestly don’t know, but I think that there will be all the conflict that there needs to be to make it a great frisson.”

What about that other third party, Bill’s baby-vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll)? Moyer teases, “She is nuts—and fantastic.”

As for our other faves, Nelsan Ellis isn’t sharing anything about Lafayette’s fate, telling fans, “They have to wait and see,” but he’s definitely up for more Blood if it’s offered. Says Nelsan, “Absolutely, yeah, I’ll come back. I’ll take the paycheck.” Indeed, Nelsan’s as invested as the rest of us in the question of whether or not Lafayette lives or dies, saying, “I love the fact that people are invested in this story. I like Lafayette, and I like that people like him.”

Last but not least, Tara is still struggling to find her way in life. Michelle Forbes‘ slinky, sneaky maenad is certainly suspicious but Rutina Wesley says she may not be all bad, telling us, “She saved my life, basically.” As for Tara’s love life, the thing with Sam is not totally off the table: “[Sam and Tara have] a complicated relationship, and Sam still kind of has that little thing for Sookie. But Tara loves her some Sam—so we’ll see.”

Should Tara and Sam be together? Are you Team Eric or Team Bill? Could you live with a True Blood that didn’t have any Lafayette? Post in the comments!

True Blood returns to HBO in June or July for season two.

True Blood Main Cast and Characters

Published by naturalbbevents under True Blood Edit This

Here is a list of the main cast and characters on the HBO series True Blood.

Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse

Quirky “good girl” barmaid Sookie feels like an outcast in her small hometown of Bon Temps, Louisiana, and with good reason: she can read minds. Her telepathic ability has left her feeling alone, a sensation amplified by the fact that her parents died in a flash flood when she was eight. She feels detached from the town’s small-mindedness, particularly when a new vampire in town, Bill, is greeted with suspicious eyes. She finds comfort in the fact that she can’t read Bill’s mind, making their interaction much more intimate.

Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton

Bill is a brooding 173-year-old vampire who at one point fought for the Confederate army in the Civil War. He’s now returning to his family home in Bon Temps in hopes of reconnecting with his humanity, but falling into a relationship with Sookie — whose abilities intrigue him — tests his vampiric impulses.

Rutina Wesley as Tara Thornton

Sassy Tara has a quick temper and tough demeanor built up over years of caring for her alcoholic mother. She’s been Sookie’s best friend since childhood, though, and will be spending a lot more time with her now that she’s been hired to tend bar where Sookie works. She’s had a long-standing crush on Sookie’s brother, Jason, but he barely knows she exists.

Ryan Kwanten as Jason Stackhouse

Jason is Sookie’s older brother, but he’s the more irresponsible of the two, a womanizer and substance abuser who tends to find himself on the wrong side of the law. He manages to hold a steady job as a construction worker, although he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Lois Smith as Adele “Gran” Stackhouse

Gran is Sookie’s protective grandmother, who took her in after the death of Sookie’s parents. She has guarded Sookie since childhood against those who would do her harm. She’s also a proud member of the Civil War society Decendants of the Glorious Dead.

Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte

Sam is Sookie’s boss at Merlotte’s Bar. He owns the bar and lives next door to it. He’s a good man who stays out of the drama that spills over in his bar, although his secret affection for Sookie gets him involved more than he’d like.

Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette Reynolds

Lafayette is Tara’s cousin. He’s a gay club kid who sticks out like a sore thumb in Bon Temps, but he can handle himself just fine. In fact, he seems to relish being the odd man out, wearing androgynous clothing and caked-on makeup in public. He works nights as a cook at Merlotte’s and days as a construction worker with Jason, but really makes his living selling illegal substances — and occasionally his body — out of his home.

True Blood (TV Show)

Published by naturalbbevents under True Blood Edit This

Premise:

With the development of synthetic blood called Tru Blood as a steady source of food, vampires have emerged from the shadows and integrated themselves openly into human society. Public opinion is split, with some, like the American Vampire League, open to their integration and others, like the Fellowship of the Sun, distrustful. In the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) arrives to wary eyes, but telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) welcomes him, being a bit of a freak of nature herself. However, a series of mysteries following Bill’s arrival makes her re-think her position. From Alan Ball, creator of Six Feet Under, based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries books by Charlaine Harris.

Stars: Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Rutina Wesley, Sam Trammell, Nelsan Ellis, Ryan Kwanten, Michael Raymond-James, Jim Parrack, Alexander Skarsgard
